The Vision
The United Football League (UFL), a premier professional football organization co-owned by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, wanted to strengthen its connection between athletes and brands. With eight teams and over 450 elite players, the league saw an opportunity to showcase the social influence of its athletes and make it easier for sponsors to discover partnership opportunities.
The Problem
While UFL had player data and social media metrics, it lacked a central, professional-grade system for managing and presenting that information. Brand partners couldn’t easily explore athlete profiles or inquire about collaborations. Internally, data management relied on spreadsheets, creating version control issues and little visibility into inquiries or athlete engagement.
Our Approach
We began by mapping UFL’s partnership workflow — from how brands evaluate athletes to how the internal team manages sponsorship requests. From there, we designed a secure, password-protected platform that would serve as both a marketing tool and an operational hub.
The build focused on three key priorities:
Visibility: a clean, searchable directory highlighting each athlete’s social reach.
Control: admin tools to manage players, users, and inquiries without exposing sensitive data.
Professional polish: a design aligned with UFL’s brand, complete with a looping hero video and intuitive layout.
What We Built
The resulting platform gives UFL a unified home for its athlete network and brand partnership data.
A password-protected directory showcasing every UFL athlete by team, position, and social platform.
User access levels (Admin, Guest Partner, UFL-General, UFL-Partnership, and UFL-Athlete) that define who can view, manage, or edit data.
Admin functionality to add, edit, or delete players, track all inquiries, and manage user permissions.
Inquiry automation: logged-in users can express interest in an athlete, automatically triggering a confirmation email to the inquirer and a notification to UFL’s admin team.
A central dashboard for tracking activity and maintaining data accuracy without manual duplication.
Users can submit an inquiry about any athlete.
The Results
The platform transformed how UFL manages athlete visibility and brand engagement. The internal team now has complete oversight of inquiries, while external partners experience a seamless, professional interface that reflects the scale and credibility of the league.
Beyond saving time on data management, the directory strengthens UFL’s positioning with sponsors — turning a simple spreadsheet into a brand-ready digital asset that matches the stature of a league broadcast across ESPN, ABC, and FOX.
